How to make Homemade Pepperoni Pizza
First, you will need to make a pizza crust. You can make a quick one with baking powder which is what I used to do before I started doing sourdough or if you want to prep it ahead of time, you can make a sourdough pizza crust or a sourdough discard pizza dough.
When you are ready to bake your pizza, preheat the oven to 500 degrees with a pizza stone inside the oven.
While the oven and pizza stone preheat, shred the cheese and gather your ingredients.
Once the pizza stone is preheated, remove it from the oven and drizzle on some olive oil. Place your pizza crust or spread your sourdough discard out on the hot pizza pan. Drizzle with olive oil again.
Dollap 2-3 tablespoons of tomato sauce on the dough and spread it around evenly with the back of a spoon.
Season the crust generously with salt, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cover with the shredded cheese and place the pepperoni slices on top.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the cheese starts to brown.
Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Save it for later…
