Proverbs 31 woman Bible quotes and more that are relevant today to inspire women in their everyday lives towards virtue

The Proverbs 31 Woman is a well- known wise woman in the bible, often referred to as the virtuous woman. She is found in Proverbs 31:10-31 and comes from the sayings of King Lemuel whose mother gave him faithful instruction of how to find the ideal woman who will make a noble wife.

This virtuous woman is a role model to christian women of what a truly beautiful woman looks like. Some of the qualities this diligent woman portrays include her…

  • ability to provide for her family
  • heart of reverence for her husband
  • entrepreneurial spirit
  • wisdom

In verse 17, this book of wisdom says, “She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.” This verse paints a picture of a woman with willing hands eager to put in the effort to achieve her goals.

Additionally, this great woman shows that she is not only concerned with her own well-being and the affairs of her household, but also cares for those around her.

Overall, the Proverbs 31 Woman serves as an inspiration for women of all ages and backgrounds as an excellent wife and homemaker. Her commitment to hard work, wisdom, and kindness remind us all to strive for these qualities in our own lives.

Here are the words of wisdom from King Lemuel’s mother and other women.

Proverbs 31 Woman Quotes

Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. – Proverbs 31:10

A virtuous woman is trustworthy. – Anonymous

The heart of her husband doth safely trusteth in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.

– Proverbs 31:11

Every day of your life, you are faced with opportunities. Unfortunately, the choices that face you are not heroic choices. They are bamboo tree choices. They are small, but progressive choices that steer you in a positive direction and over time you’re bound to meet success. For most of us, we spend all our lives waiting for that life changing moment that will change the course of our lives and make us successful. Unfortunately, the clock is ticking. Every day, we choose not to tend to our bamboo tree, a choice is made for us and by the time we realize it, the seasons have passed and we have nothing to show for it.

– Mary Maina, The Proverbs 31 Lady: Unveiling Her Secrets Before Saying I Do

She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. – Proverbs 31:12

She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: her candle goeth not out by night. – Proverbs 31:18

Since the woman described in Proverbs 31 was not a living, breathing woman, it is easy to see her way of life as unattainable or exhausting, but there is more to it than that. We can view this as a list of goals for ourselves, something to be constantly working on. – Christina Fleming

She layeth her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff. She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. – Proverbs 31:19-20

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. – Proverbs 31:28-29

Our simple daily decisions can become our best friend or our worst enemy. They can draw us towards our goals or send us orbiting into a galaxy far, far away. These are the days of our lives.

– Mary Maina, The Proverbs 31 Lady: Unveiling Her Secrets Before Saying I Do

A virtuous woman cares for the poor. – Anonymous

Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates. – Proverbs 31:30-31

Final Thoughts

Don’t these thoughts motivate you to cultivate imperishable beauty, to work with our own hands, to share God’s love to the poor and needy, and to show the grace of God through your speech in your own life? They really address all the areas of your life and can be applied to many of your daily tasks on your to-do list.

This godly woman is the model of a committed woman. I don’t know about you, but I deeply desire to be this type of woman, a wife of noble character and a faithful woman who has great courage and eager hands to do any good work.

I hope you are inspired to pursue virtue!
